My Story

At the heart of all my work is songwriting, singing and recording. Helen Chadwick Song Theatre creates group shows,  site-specific commissions, choral works for choirs and soloists, and solo shows.

Albums include House of Light and Fragments of Love. I love to set great poetry, and my albums are full of these songs.

As well as a river of songs, compositions also include music for the BBC, the Royal Shakespeare Company, the Royal Court and the National Theatre.

Commissions include for the Royal Opera House, site-specific choral works for Greenwich and Salisbury Festivals, the RSC, the Getty Villa in Los Angeles, and community operas for English Touring Opera.

Helen Chadwick Song Theatre creates, concerts, site-specific work for choirs and soloists and song-theatre performances, some created with Steven Hoggett: TruthWar Correspondents and Dalston Songs. We have toured in the UK, Spain, Colombia, Finland and the Ukraine. Three solo song-theatre performances have toured in the UK, France, Denmark, Italy, Brazil and Argentina.
